These oats bring together rich chocolate, sweet cherries, juicy pears, creamy pistachio, and a vibrant strawberry flax topping in one irresistible jar. Each layer adds its own flavor and texture, creating a breakfast that feels both comforting and refreshing. The combination of orchard fruits, berries, and chocolate makes every spoonful taste like a special treat while still being perfect for a nourishing start to the day.

Serving size: Three Jars

Ingredients

Chocolate Cherry Pear Oat base (Bottom Layer)

  • 1½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1½ cup chocolate almond milk
  • ¼ cup yogurt
  • ½ cup cherries (diced small)
  • 1 cup pear (diced small)
  • 3 tbsp pistachio cream (optional)

Strawberry Flax Oat Base (Top Layer)

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flax
  • ½ scoop strawberry protein powder
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • ¼ cup yogurt

Directions

  1. Chocolate Cherry Pear Oat Layer. In a medium sized mixing bowl, add all chocolate cherry pear oat base ingredients and stir until combined. Divide this mixture evenly between three jars.
  2. If using the pistachio cream, add 1 tbsp to each jar, do not stir. Then make the top layer.
  3. Strawberry Flax Oat Layer. In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the strawberry flax oat base ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir until combined. Divide this mixture evenly between the three jars.
  4. Let the oats sit in the refrigerator overnight or up to five days before eating.
  5. When ready to serve, top with fresh fruit, walnuts and almonds or other optional toppings of choice.

Helpful Tips

  • Customize this recipe by swapping out the fruits based on what you have one hand. Raspberries or blackberries would work nicely in this recipe.
  • Feel free to add either flax or chia seeds to the chocolate layer to make these oats more filling.
  • Vanilla almond milk is a nice substitute for chocolate almond milk.
  • Vanilla protein powder is the perfect substitute for strawberry protein powder.
  • To make these oats dairy free, omit the yogurt or use Silk yogurt instead.
  • I prefer rolled oats, but quick oats may be used as well for a softer consistency. Avoid using steel-cut oats; they will remain firm and chewy without cooking.
