These layered oats are rich, creamy, and packed with cozy flavor combinations that feel both comforting and fresh. The bottom layer blends chocolate, banana, and pear for a smooth, dessert like base with natural sweetness and a soft fruity finish. On top, the vanilla and plum layer adds a lighter, creamy contrast with just the right amount of juicy brightness. Every spoonful gives you a mix of deep chocolate flavor, mellow pear, and sweet-tart plum that works surprisingly well together.

Ingredients

Bottom layer: Chocolate Banana Pear

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup chocolate almond milk
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 pear ( diced small)
  • 1 banana (mashed)
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • ¼ cup yogurt

Top layer: Vanilla Plum

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 plum ( diced small)
  • 1 scoop vanilla powder
  • ¼ cup yogurt

Directions

  1. Chocolate Banana Pear layer: Add all chocolate banana pear layer ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir until combined. Divide this mixture evenly between three jars.
  2. Vanilla Plum layer: Add all vanilla plum layer ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir until combined. Divide this mixture evenly between three jars.
  3. Chill: Refrigerate overnight or up to 3 days before serving. Top with fresh fruit, granola, and/or nuts.

Helpful Tips

  • For the best texture, use old-fashioned rolled oats rather than quick oats or steel-cut oats.
  • To make these oats dairy free, omit the yogurt or use Silk yogurt instead. Consider adding an additional mashed banana to maintain the creamy texture.
  • You can easily customize this recipe by swapping out the plum for a peach, or an apple. In the bottom layer, consider using strawberry protein powder in place of chocolate for a more fresh and fruity vibe.
  • For a stronger nutty flavor use flax meal in place of chia seeds.
