If you love cheesecake but want something you can prep ahead and feel good about eating for breakfast, these mango blueberry cheesecake overnight oats are it. The oat layer blends blueberries, banana, and cottage cheese to give you that creamy, slightly tangy cheesecake vibe, while the mango and Greek yogurt topping adds a smooth, bright finish. It’s one of those recipes that feels a little indulgent but is actually packed with nourishing ingredients, and it comes together with minimal effort.

Serving Size: Two Jars

Ingredients

Oat base

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup almond milk
  •  1 cup cottage cheese (blended)
  • 1 banana (mashed)
  • ⅓ cup blueberries

Mango Puree

  • 2 honey mangoes
  • ¼ cup greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp honey

Directions

  1. Use a food processor to blend the cottage cheese until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, add remaining oat base ingredients with the blended cottage cheese and stir until combined.
  3. Divide oat mixture evenly between two jars.
  4. Add all mango puree ingredients to a food processor, combine until smooth.
  5. Top both jars evenly with the mango puree.
  6. Let the oats sit in the refrigerator overnight, or up to five days before eating.
  7. When ready to serve, top with shredded coconut, fresh fruit, walnuts and almonds or other optional toppings of choice.

Helpful Tips

  • Feel free to customize the berries depending on what you have in your kitchen. Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or extra blueberries all work beautifully in this recipe.
  • Blending the cottage cheese might feel like an extra step, but it makes a huge difference in the final texture of your overnight oats. Unblended cottage cheese can leave noticeable curds throughout your oats. Blending transforms it into a thick, silky base that feels more like a creamy yogurt.
  • Customize these oats by building a middle layer. After adding half your oat mixture, spread a layer of purée in the center before topping with the rest of the oats. This creates a defined stripe that shows through the jar.
  • Greek yogurt provides extra protein, however, any vanilla or plain yogurt will work for the yogurt layer.
  • If omitting yogurt, I like to add an additional mashed banana to maintain a creamy texture.
  • I prefer rolled oats, but quick oats may be used as well for a softer consistency. Avoid using steel-cut oats, they will remain firm and chewy without cooking.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Cheesecake-inspired, but lighter. The cottage cheese in the oats creates that rich, creamy texture without needing anything heavy.
  • Perfect balance of flavors. Sweet banana and blueberries in the base pair so well with the smooth mango yogurt topping.
  • Great texture contrast. Thick, creamy oats on the bottom with a silky, slightly airy topping makes every bite interesting.
  • High in protein. Between the cottage cheese and Greek yogurt, this keeps you full and satisfied.
  • Meal prep friendly. Make it the night before and wake up to a breakfast that is ready when you are (and looks pretty layered too).
