Overnight Oats

Hey everyone, if you're craving something chocolatey but still want a nourishing start to your day, this Raspberry Chocolate Orange Oats recipe delivers. Imagine all the flavor of a chocolate- orange dessert with bursts of fresh raspberry, made with wholesome ingredients to keep you full and energized.

Serving Size: 2 jars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • ¼ cup yogurt
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 small oranges (diced small)
  • 3 oz raspberries (diced small)
  • 4 tbsp (divided) chocolate almond butter

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a medium sized mixing bowl, except the chocolate almond butter. Mix together well.
  2. Add 1 tbsp chocolate almond butter to the bottom of each jar, then layer with half of the oat mixture.
  3. Add another tbsp of chocolate almond butter to each jar and add remaining oat mixture.
  4. Let the oats sit in the refrigerator overnight, or up to three days before eating
  5. When ready to serve, top with walnuts and almonds or other optional toppings of choice.

Helpful Tips

  • The chocolate almond butter can be substituted with brownie batter oat butter, Nutella, or plain/crunchy almond butter.
  • A spoonful of almond butter enhances both the flavor and the texture of the oats, while adding healthy fats and a boost of plant- based protein. Oat butter adds some protein and healthy fats, but less than nut butters- its great for texture and balance.
  • To make these oats dairy free, omit the yogurt or use Silk yogurt instead. If omitting yogurt, I like to add a mashed banana to maintain a creamy texture.
  • I prefer rolled oats, but quick oats may be used as well for a softer consistency. Avoid using steel-cut oats, they will remain firm and chewy without cooking.

Why You'll Love this Recipe:

  • Naturally sweet
  • Make ahead for busy mornings
  • Easily customizable
