¼ cup yogurt
1 cup almond milk
2 mandarin oranges (diced small)
3 oz raspberries (diced small)
4 tbsp (divided) chocolate almond butter

Add 1 tbsp chocolate almond butter to the bottom of each jar, then layer with half of the oat mixture.
Add another tbsp of chocolate almond butter to each jar and add remaining oat mixture.
Let the oats sit in the refrigerator overnight, or up to three days before eating.
When ready to serve, top with walnuts and almonds, chocolate chips, additional fruit, or other optional toppings of choice.
Helpful Tips
Feel free to customize the fruit with what you have on hand, strawberries or blackberries would work well in this recipe.
The chocolate almond butter can be substituted with brownie batter oat butter, Nutella, or plain/crunchy almond butter.
A spoonful of almond butter enhances both the flavor and the texture of the oats, while adding healthy fats and a boost of plant-based protein. Oat butter adds some protein and healthy fats, but less than nut butters - its great for texture and balance.
To make these oats dairy free, omit the yogurt or use Silk yogurt instead. If omitting yogurt, I like to add a mashed banana to maintain a creamy texture.
I prefer rolled oats, but quick oats may be used as well for a softer consistency. Avoid using steel-cut oats, they will remain firm and chewy without cooking.
