Ingredients
Pear Oat Base (Bottom Layer)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
⅓ cup yogurt
1½ cup of rolled oats
1½ cup almond milk
3 tbsp ground flax meal
1 heaping cup pear (diced small)
Raspberry Jam Base
1 tsp honey (optional)
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp water
3 tbsp sugar replacement
3- 6 oz containers of raspberries
4 tbsp chia seeds
Blackberry Oat Layer (Top Layer)
1 scoop vanila protein powder
⅓ cup yogurt
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup almond milk
1 tbsp ground flax meal
⅓ cup blackberries (diced small)
Directions
Raspberry Jam: Make the jam on the stove first. Add all jam ingredients to a medium size pot. Turn the heat to medium, you will want to keep a close eye on the jam, stir constantly.
When it seems the raspberries are mostly cooked down, remove from heat. I recommend putting the jam in a bowl to help cool down faster and to prevent sticking to the pot.
Add 3 tbsp chia seeds to the jam and mix it together, add an optional teaspoon of honey as well.
To cool the jam, leave it on the counter for 30 minutes, then place in the fridge for an hour before using in oats. While the jam is cooling make the oat mixture and place in fridge until ready to assemble jars.
Pear Oat Base: Mix all pear oat base ingredients into a medium sized mixing bowl and set in fridge until jam is cool.
Blackberry Oat Layer: Mix all blackberry oat base ingredients into a medium sized mixing bowl and set in fridge until jam is cool.
Assemble the jars: Once the jam is ready, fill three jars evenly with the pear oat mixture. Next fill each jar with ⅓ cup raspberry jam. Lastly top the jars evenly with the blackberry oat mixture. This creates a beautiful layered look.
Let the oats sit in the refrigerator overnight or up to five days before eating.
When ready to serve, top with walnuts and almonds, granola or other optional toppings of choice.

Helpful Tips
Customize the berries depending on what you have in your kitchen. Strawberry, blueberry or blackberry jam all would work wonderfully in this recipe!
Jam Shortcut Option: While store-bought jam will work if you're short on time, I highly recommend making your own raspberry jam. It has a fresher raspberry flavor and creates a lighter breakfast with less added sugar than store-bought jam. Plus, you can easily adjust the sweetness to your taste.
What to do with the extra jam? Make peanut butter & jelly smoothies, stuffed french toast, or use it as a topping for waffles & pancakes! Or see my other recipes for overnight oats with jam.
What type of pears are best? I used Bartlett pear for these oats, they tend to be more juicy and easy to find at the store, any type will do.
Dairy free option. Omit the yogurt or use Silk yogurt instead.
What type of oats are best? I prefer rolled oats, but quick oats may be used as well for a softer consistency. Avoid using steel-cut oats, they will remain firm and chewy without cooking.
