Helpful Tips
How to customize these oats: You can easily swap the berries depending on what you have in your kitchen. Extra strawberries or banana, or raspberries all work beautifully in this recipe.
Dairy-free option: Use Silk yogurt instead, you can also make a homemade jam instead of a yogurt layer.
Add a boost of strawberry! Strawberry extract, or strawberry protein powder may be used for the yogurt layer for extra strawberry flavor.
No strawberry protein powder? Feel free to use vanilla protein powder instead, the fresh strawberries will still provide enough flavor.
Consider adding a mashed banana: To the chocolate oat layer for a creamier texture.
What type of oats are best? I prefer rolled oats, but quick oats may be used as well for a softer consistency. Avoid using steel-cut oats, they will remain firm and chewy without cooking.
